Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort Rooms: Full Guide

At a value resort like Disney’s All-Star Movies, the types of rooms tend to be limited to a standard style hotel room.

This is part of the draw for this resort in the sense of its simplicity, and that you don’t need to worry if you’re spending most of your time away from the resort. If I know I’m paying a hefty price for my resort room, it’s hard to justify spending every moment in the parks.

However, when you’re at a value resort like Disney’s All-Star Movies, simple rooms without all the bells and whistles takes the pressure off spending all your time at the resort.

Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort Rooms

There’s only one type of room at All-Star Movies – standard rooms.

These rooms have a simple, hotel-style layout, perfect for larger groups and teen stays. You might also like these rooms for a young adult’s trip, if you want to spend more time in the parks or hitting the Disney Springs nightlife. Groups often prefer All-Star Movies because of the standard style of the rooms – if you’re planning a group event or trip, this is the accommodation spot!

Room Layout

In the rooms at All-Star Movies, you’ll find a single queen bed, raised in the new Disney style for additional storage. All-Star Movies also offers rooms with a single king bed, which is different from its All-Star Sports counterpart.

The king bed option is ideal for a two-person stay, as it gives you more space within the room to move. The common area also includes a two-person table (which converts into a table bed), nightstand-cubbies, and dresser-storage combination. A mini-fridge nestles within a separate storage structure in the corner, which also has a coffee maker and shelves for food items.

Past a sliding barn door on the far side of the room, you’ll find the split bathroom. The sink and some storage space sits right beyond the curtain, with mirrors above the sink and on the bathroom door. Through the door is the shower-tub combo and toilet. Having both the split bath and separator door helps when you’ve got a full room (i.e. four people), making it easier for multiple people to get ready at the same time. If you’re dealing with teens (or non-morning people), the ability to get everyone moving is a lifesaver.

In terms of storage, there are some hooks right outside the bathroom for hanging items like ponchos, backpacks, and jackets. That corner doesn’t have furniture, making it an ideal place to put the suitcases so they are out of the main space of the room. Since you have the drawers, we suggest using them. Again, you have some space in the bathroom for storing toiletries, which can keep everyone organized.

Room Amenities

While the amenities in the rooms at All-Star Movies aren’t to the same level as the moderate resorts, you do still have the mini-fridge. This is a huge bonus if you have kids like my son, who likes his cheese sticks or applesauce in the morning. Having a place to store cold items, even if it’s just water, is a blessing.

Beyond the mini-fridge, you also have an iron and ironing board, in-room safe, hairdryer, and room phone – standard to the Disney resorts. In the bathroom, you’ll find resort towels and the wall pumps of shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. If you’re trying to pack light, it’s nice to know you can count on these amenities in the rooms at All-Star Movies.

All-Star Movies Rooms Décor

Fitting with the theme of the resort, the rooms at All-Star Movies have a sleek theme befitting a modern movie theatre.

You’ll love seeing your Disney cartoon favorites, depicted in the new Mickey short style, which reflects the character shorts that came before films in the Golden Age of Hollywood. The rooms at All-Star Movies also have a gorgeous color palette of deep browns, grays, and pops of red for color. The bathroom takes on slightly lighter tones with greens and whites, helping you wake up in the mornings and feel refreshed.
