When you’re staying at a value resort, you are most likely looking for food that is quick, yet satisfying.

With the dining options at Disney’s Art of Animation, you’ll meet both of those criteria and more! Even as a value resort, there’s plenty of delicious options for you and your family.

Art of Animation’s food fits with the overall theme of the resort, bringing you a combination of new flavors and comfort favorites. As with all the value resorts, value doesn’t mean lower quality. It simply means that you’re not getting the same types of amenities or luxury of some of the higher tier resorts. At the same time, the value resorts like Art of Animation give you the full experience of a Disney vacation at half the price, and the same goes for the dining option.

With a variety of choices at the counter service spot to pizza delivered to your door, you’re going to love what dining Disney’s Art of Animation has to offer!

Dining Options at Disney’s Art of Animation

In-Room Dining at Art of Animation.

Several of the value and moderate Disney resorts give you the chance to order an entire family meal and have it delivered straight to your room.

No matter what you and your family are in the mood for – pizza, salad, chicken strips, or other family favorites, you can find it on the In-Room Dining menu. This way, you won’t have to worry about the crowds at Landscape of Flavors at peak times.

Just press the “In-Room Dining” button on your room phone, place your order, and wait for it to show up!

Not only can you get yummy meals, but they come in sharable family-size portions. That’s right, not just a personal pan pizza for each kid, but a whole pizza for the family to share. You’ll feel right at home sharing your meal, all in the relaxing comfort of your resort room. Especially if you’re staying in one of the family suites, you’ll have plenty of room to sit at the table and enjoy each other’s company.

Benefits

In-Room Dining is a great choice for a few reasons.

First, let’s face it, Disney vacations can wear you out. We wouldn’t blame you for wanting to lounge around your resort room, particularly in these incredibly themed family suites. Using the In-Room Dining at Disney’s Art of Animation, the food comes to you, instead of waiting in yet another line.

Second, if you have little ones that are ready to pass out, it’s convenient to do dinner, straight to bath, and then bed. Even if you have to enjoy the rest of your pizza in the bedroom, those of us who have lived through the overtired toddler phase will be grateful for the easy put down.

Finally, not all of the rooms at Art of Animation have in-room food preparation options. While there is a coffee maker and a mini-fridge, you don’t have a way to heat food in the Little Mermaid rooms. Being able to order pizza or chicken tenders brings a hot meal to you without any further worry.

The Drop Off Pool Bar

Over at the Big Blue Pool in the Finding Nemo section, The Drop Off pool bar is the only other spot to grab a bite besides Landscape of Flavors. However, the emphasis is definitely more on the drinks at the Drop Off, so you might want to come to the pool prepped with snacks.

Just a Bite

While there isn’t a lot in the way of food, the Drop Off does have a couple of small plates. You can get a variety of chips for a salty snack, or cheese curls if you want to get something different. Our pick would be the hot pretzel with cheese sauce, perfect for sharing and ideal if you’re planning to have a couple of drinks.

You can also bring food out from Animation Hall to enjoy with your beverage, so don’t forget that option!

Righteous Beverages

Again, the main attraction of the Drop Off is the drinks. Start with one of the feature cocktails, the Big Blue Ocean or the Captain’s Pineapple. Between the two, Big Blue Ocean really captures the overall Nemo theme, a combination of vodka, rum, blue curacao and lemonade finished with a souvenir multicolored glow cube.

Looking for one of the Disney staples? Don’t worry, you’ll find plenty of them at the Drop Off! Items like the Sunshine Margarita, Bourbon Breeze, and Banana Cabana all make an appearance, bringing their fruity goodness to your relaxing day poolside. We also recommend the Blueberry Lemonade, made with blueberry vodka, blue curacao, and lemonade mixed with splashes of lemon and pomegranate topped with Sprite for some fizz.

If frozen drinks are more your speed, you can’t ever go wrong with a Frosé – a mix of rosé and vodka that is beyond refreshing. You can also get frozen Jack and Coke or rum and Coke, a cool take on the classic drink (literally!)

Beyond these offerings, you’ll find a standard variety of beer, both domestic and imported, as well as a decent wine selection. Whatever your poolside tastes, you can find it at the Drop Off!

Landscape of Flavors

The main Art of Animation dining location, Landscape of Flavors has five different counters with multiple styles of dishes, providing something for everyone in your group.

In the center, you can find the beverages, including the refill mugs, making it the perfect place to meet up before checking out.

Landscape of Flavors opens at 7:00am and doesn’t close until 10:00pm, making it a great place to grab a meal at any point in the day.

You can also stop by the day before going to the parks or hitting the road, and grab a few meals to heat up back in your room. You could even fill your mug with a drink the night before, keep it in the fridge, and be ready to go in the morning.

Breakfast

If you want something quick, the continental breakfast is a great option, as are the two breakfast sandwiches. Grab one sandwich with bacon for an extra hit of protein, or just go for egg and cheese; either is perfect for a quick exit out to the parks.

For those that have a bit of time to sit and eat, I always recommend the breakfast platter. These platters are great for splitting, which cuts down on the cost, and are protein-rich. The American Platter includes scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon, and sausage, and the Waffle Platter has the same with the addition of a character waffle. One of our favorites is the Lion King waffle, featuring your favorite cubs! You could also grab a ham and cheese omelet, fresh made with a side of breakfast potatoes.

There are also plenty of side options if you want to build your own meal, or split a platter and get a few other items. My personal go-to is an item from the bakery, sharing the protein and potatoes with my husband. You can do something similar, or just grab overnight oats with a breakfast meat. You can even just get a simple order of cereal and milk if you want something lighter to start the day.

Need to start the day with coffee? Grab a specialty Joffrey’s coffee – Landscape of Flavors has café lattes, cappuccinos, or even a cold brew. One of our favorites is the Joffrey’s Shakin’ Jamaican, rich roasted coffee blended with caramel, vanilla, and smoky flavors made as a cold brew delight. Don’t forget – you can always fill your mug with coffee as you head to the parks!

Lunch and Dinner

Main Dishes

On Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, enjoy a roasted turkey dinner that will make you long for Thanksgiving! Delicious oven-roasted turkey served with mashed potatoes, green beans, and gravy make for a great dinner option. On the remaining days, you can find an amazing roasted salmon dish in the lemon butter sauce with roasted potatoes and green beans. Sandwich lovers will flip over the last of the main meals – a turkey sandwich made with savory roasted turkey, mozzarella, and sweet bell peppers topped with a basil aïoli, lettuce, and balsamic vinaigrette. The sandwich is served with French Fries on the side.

Pizza & Pasta

Get cheese or pepperoni pizza by the slice, or purchase an entire pizza for $30. As the slices are about $11 each, if you have more than one person in your group in the mood for pizza, getting a whole pie will save you a bit! If you do go with the individual pizza slides, you’ll get a nice little Caesar on the side.

You can also get chicken parmesan, penne pasta with a breaded chicken breast topped with Provolone. Get your pasta in either Alfredo or marinara sauce, and enjoy that breadstick on the side for dipping! There’s also a pasta with meatballs option, which is essentially the same as the chicken parm, just with meatballs instead.

Looking for something a bit lighter? Landscape of Flavors has two salad options – one with chicken and one with shrimp. Both come on Romaine lettuce, tossed with cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions. The salads include croutons your choice of dressing on the side.

Burgers & Chicken

Sometimes, all you want is a simple burger or some chicken tenders. Don’t worry, there’s plenty here! You can get a burger with all the fixins’ or plain, with bacon and cheese or without, all of which come with crispy French fries. If chicken is more your thing, you can get the same style of sandwich with a grilled chicken filet instead. The old stand-by, chicken strips and fries, is just waiting there for your kiddos (or you!).

Kid’s Meals

Speaking of kids, children’s menu includes plenty of their favorites, like chicken strips, cheeseburgers, and mac and cheese. These options all come with yogurt, sliced apples, and a choice between water or milk.

If they want to be a bit more adventurous, they can try the turkey sandwich on honey wheat bread or the pasta with chicken. Both have the same yogurt and beverage choice, although the pasta comes with green beans instead of fruit.

Desserts

If you love a signature cupcake, then you’ve come to the right place. Check out the Mermaid Tail Cupcake, and ode to our favorite red-headed mermaid. Enjoy a vanilla cupcake filled with pineapple and topped with coconut buttercream, a white chocolate mermaid tail, graham cracker crumbs to mimic the sand, and crispy pearls and glitter to complete the nautical element. You’ll also find the Cookies ‘n Cream Sundae Cupcake, made for Mickey and chocolate lovers. A chocolate cupcake comes topped with cookies ‘n cream buttercream and rainbow sprinkles with chocolate Mickey ears for decoration.

Aside from these fun favorites, you can get anything from the bakery that you might find earlier in the day, including cookies, rice crispy treats, and other goods. If you’re looking to have a party or celebration back in your room, this is the place to pick up your celebration cake. Each cake feeds between four and six guests, and comes in a vanilla or chocolate option. Bring your own decorations to personalize it, and you’re golden!

Also at the bakery you can pick up pastries to go, in a two-pack or four-pack. These are perfect for a park day or early morning departure, so be sure to think ahead and get your Disney meal for the road!

You’re free to run around all day, but don’t forget to fuel your body with the dining options at Disney’s Art of Animation!
