Six (ALMOST) Free Disney Hotel Nights in Orlando for a Family of Six

In this article, I’m going to show you the ridiculously easy, completely legit way that my husband and I were able to get SIX NIGHTS at one of Orlando’s best hotels, Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek.

This is a hotel that is ranked 4.5 out of 5 on TripAdvisor… and six nights would regularly cost you approximately $2000.

Today I’m going to show you how to get SIX NIGHTS…

For just $150!

First…About This Hotel…

A few things you should know. This hotel:

  • Will accommodate up to SIX people in one room
  • Is located just minutes from all Disney parks
  • Is beautiful, comfortable, and full of fun stuff for the kids to do
  • Has a plentitude of real-life reviews from people like you and me
By following my steps, I estimate you will save approximately $2000.

Here’s the Secret that Makes This Possible

The method I used is a well-kept secret within the travel community. I’m sure I’m not the first to use it, but I had to discover it on my own.

The Secret to Get Free Hotel Nights is to Sign Up for One Credit Card

The key here is to apply for one particular credit card – the Wyndham Rewards Visa Signature card.

The FREE travel bonuses that come with this card that make this deal possible. And it’s one of the best deals in all of travel.

As you read on, I will tell you:
  • To apply for the credit card
  • Why this card and what are the rewards?
  • To stay at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek
  • Why this hotel and why it is worthy of your dream vacation?

I’m Working Off These Assumptions

For my recommendation of how to get six nights free in Orlando to work, I am assuming the following:

  • Two Adults in Family

There are two adults in your family with good credit scores (probably you and your significant other)

  • Spend $2000 in 3 Months

Both adults can spend $2000 in 3 months on everyday stuff (groceries, cable, utilities, etc) on a credit card — without going into debt

  • Six People or Less

The maximum number of people in a room is six

Note: Even if there is only ONE adult, this recommendation will still work to get you three free hotel nights in Orlando. Either way, you’ll save a lot of money.

How To Get (Basically) Free Disneyworld Hotel Nights

Step 1: Apply for Wyndham Rewards Visa Signature

Why this credit card?
The Wyndham Rewards Visa Signature currently has a very lucrative sign-up bonus that will help you get free Wyndham hotel points fast. You will be able to redeem Wyndham points for free hotel stays at their properties.

What is the reward?
The card has a signup bonus of 30,000 Wyndham points when you make your first purchase.
Then, when you spend $2000 on the card within the first 3 months of account opening, you will receive another 15,000 Wyndham points.
This will total to 45,000 Wyndham points when you get these things done.

What this reward will get you
15,000 Wyndham points is worth a free night at any Wyndham property, anywhere, anytime.

Your 45,000 Wyndham points will be worth 3 free nights!

Annual Fee
Notice I keep saying “almost” free? This is why.

This card has an annual fee of $75, but I feel it is totally worth the savings you’ll enjoy. The average room rate at the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek is $250 or more per night!

Apply for the Wyndham Rewards Visa

Step 2: Spend $2000 in 3 Months

The minimum spending requirement to receive the Wyndham points being offered as the signup bonus is $2000 in the first three months after applying for the card.

You’re probably already using a credit card, debit card, check or cash to pay for groceries, Netflix, restaurants, and the water bill. To get to $2000, simply put your everyday spending on this new credit card.

Important: I DO NOT encourage going into debt or spending outside your normal pattern.

Step 3: Book 3 Free Nights with Your Reward

After you complete your minimum spending requirements, you simply need to wait 2-4 weeks for your points to post to your Wyndham account.

Once they have posted, you can redeem them for free hotel nights. It is all done online fairly easily through Wyndham’s system, but here are more details from Wyndham’s site if you need them.

Wait…That’s Only 3 Nights!

Here’s How to Get Six Nights Free

To get six free nights, simply have your spouse/significant other apply for the same card at the same time. Genius!

As he/she follows the same steps above, you’ll BOTH receive the 45,000 points, enabling you to reserve 3 nights each, for a TOTAL OF SIX.

If, between the two of you, you can manage a $4000 spend in 3 months (without going into debt), then apply at the same time. Or, simply have one of you complete the minimum spend and then have the other apply for the card and repeat the process.

Book your rooms on separate accounts, with the dates spanning six nights in a row. Then call the hotel and tell them you’d like to stay in the same room. In my experience, they will accommodate you if they can, so you won’t have to move rooms in the middle of your stay.

Bonus Tip: Save on Rental Car & Parking

Instead of getting a rental car for the week, use the Wyndham Grand’s shuttles and save even more money.

Take the Shuttle & Save $100

Use hotel shuttle for five days & save $20 per day parking.
The cost to park a car at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme parks is $20 per day.

Wyndham Grand’s Free Shuttle
The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to the Disney parks that can save you both the cost a rental car and the daily parking fees.

Note: There is a per person charge to take the shuttle to other further-out destinations like Universal Studios, SeaWorld, and Orlando Premium Outlets. My guess, however, is that you’ll save greatly by getting yourself an Uber or Lyft.

And if you’ve never tried Lyft, you can use this link to get a free $20 in ride credits. If you have two adults in your party that haven’t used Lyft before, create separate accounts and install the app separately and you can both enjoy the Lyft credits. Use one on the way to Universal and one on the way back. More saving!

And about that parking…
To park your own car, the resort will charge $20 + $1.30 tax per day. Valet is $24 per day.

With No Car to Park, You’ll Save $127.80!
No car for six days means no $21.30 daily fee for parking. Bam!
