Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa is not only a hidden treasure of Walt Disney World, but it is one of the earliest exclusively Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resorts. That means whatever type of accommodation you choose, you’re going to find yourself feeling like you’re staying in a luxury vacation condo rather than a conventional hotel room.

With DVC, you get the comforts of home while on vacation, which can go a long way to insure maximum relaxation.

Rooms at Saratoga Springs are in two tiers, Studios and Villas. All the rooms are spacious and have plenty of those necessary items like shampoo, towels, extra pillows and blankets, and even coffee for your caffeine addicts. Major advantage – you don’t have to pack these things in your suitcase unless you really prefer your own from home.

Additionally, in connection to Disney’s Saratoga Springs are the Treehouse Villas, which are their own resort area right next to Saratoga Springs. These unique accommodations are also DVC, so you can use points to stay there. While the Treehouses are a totally different experience to staying at Saratoga Springs itself, it is still worth checking out if you have a larger party.

What This Guide Covers

Studios

The first tier of rooms is referred to as Deluxe Studios, which has a general feel of a standard hotel room with a few key upgrades.

All the studios have the following amenities:

  • Toaster
  • Internet – Free WiFi Service
  • Hairdryer
  • Telephone with voicemail
  • Microwave
  • Iron & Ironing Board
  • Soaker Tub
  • Mini-refrigerator
  • DVD Player
  • Coffee Maker
  • High Chair
  • In-Room Safe

The microwave, toaster, and mini-fridge are all game-changers, making it easier to make food in your room. If you’ve ever been to Disney before, you know that you can spend a small fortune on meals at Walt Disney World. With the studios, you can bring or buy quick meals like PopTarts, breakfast sandwiches, Hot Pockets, and more to supplement your Disney meals. Going this route will save you tons of money and time, not to mention giving you a few more minutes to sleep in the morning.

Spaced throughout the Paddock, Springs, and Congress Park areas of the resort, you could have a view of the garden, courtyard, woodlands or water features. Studios in the Congress Park and lower Paddock are just a short walk from Disney Springs, saving you tons of time on transportation. Upper Paddock and Springs studios put you right near the Carriage House, which gives you prime access to High Rock Spring Pool and the main dining options.

Studios are ideal for a smaller party, as they have a queen bed and one double-size sleeper sofa. For example, a family of four or fewer could easily sleep two people in the bed and two on the sofa, which a group of three adults could do two and one. Studios are also a great option for couples, as it provides plenty of space while being economical.

Villas

The second tier of rooms are the villas, all of which contain at least one bedroom separate from the main living area. You can get a one bedroom or two bedroom villa, or splurge for the three bedroom grand villa. It all depends on how much space you need and if you will use the amenities.

Villas have the following features:

  • Toaster
  • Fully Equipped Kitchen with Refrigerator
  • Hairdryer
  • Internet – Free WiFi Service
  • Microwave
  • Telephone with voicemail
  • High Chair
  • Iron & Ironing Board
  • DVD Player
  • Washer & Dryer
  • Soaker Tub
  • Whirlpool Tub
  • In-Room Safe
  • Coffee Maker

In addition to many of the amenities of the studio rooms, villas have the further benefits of a full kitchen and in-room laundry units. This takes the idea of cooking in your room to the next level, as you could conceivably make every meal in your room. If you have specific dietary needs or want to take a night off from heavier foods, this is a great option for you! It is also nice to have a freezer for ice packs, microwave meals, even your own personal stock of Mickey ice-cream bars. A great tip is to fill a plastic or freezer safe water bottle halfway and freeze it, and then add water in the morning. You’ll have built-in ice and your water will stay colder much longer!

One Bedroom Villas

One bedroom villas are a nice option if you are travelling with another pair of adults or just want some added privacy from the kids. Tranquil blues and nature patterns fit with the healing spring themes throughout the resort. In the same way, the vintage décor and architecture reflects back to the turn of the century nostalgia of a Saratoga vacation.

Not only is your living area extended with the kitchen space, but you also have a larger bathroom. Separating some of the bathroom spaces is a great way to bring privacy but still get everyone out the door in a timely manner.

Right off the kitchen are two eating spaces, a breakfast bar and a large rounded table with bench seating on the one side. You can pull up chairs to the opposite side of the bench, or enjoy a cozy meal side by side (if you can get the kids out of the room!).

These villas sleep four, with two people on the king bed in the bedroom and two people out on the queen-size sofa sleeper. With these sleeping arrangements, one bedroom villas are best for families or two couples, as the increased square footage provides more space on top of the seclusion of the bedroom.

Located in a variety of resort sections, your balcony or porch will overlook the gardens, lake, one of the pools, woodlands or fairways of Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. If you have a particular taste in views or location, you can also go for the preferred option for the one bedroom villas. While this does cost a bit more, you can be sure to have a spectacular view and a prime location within the resort.

Two Bedroom Villas

If you are travelling with a larger group, the two bedroom villa is the way to go. With the same amenities as a one bedroom villa, you will enjoy in-room laundry and a full kitchen, with the benefits of added space for your party. Sleeping eight adults, you can easily get a family or two into this space. This means that you’ll be able to spend your vacation together in the same room, without having to coordinate meeting locations or trying to get two separate rooms close together.

The first bedroom has a king sized bed and a fabulous master bathroom. A small set of shutters opens from the bedroom space to the bathroom area, joining the parts of the room together. The bathroom boasts a gorgeous walk-in shower, whirlpool tub, and a large sink space. Altogether, this bedroom area serves as an escape if you need some time away during your vacation.

In the second bedroom there are two queen beds, ideal for one family or all the kids in your party. Connected to the bedroom is a second bathroom and small closet, insuring privacy for those using this bedroom.

Finally, the living room has a queen-sized sleeper sofa if you need to house an additional two guests. If you put all the kids in the second bedroom, this might be where you put the other adults in your party, or you could put a few small children all in this bed and keep the bedrooms kid-free zones.

Both bedrooms have their own TVs, which is ideal for evening and winding down in bed. Small sitting areas also mean you could have your own meal in your room if you have people sleeping out on the sofa bed, particularly if you have days when your group isn’t on the same schedule.

Just like the one bedroom, you can also go for the preferred option if you want a particular view or location within the resort. Again, this does cost a little bit extra, but if that is a priority for you, go for it!

Three Bedroom Grand Villa

For those travelling with multiple families, the three bedroom grand villa is the perfect fit. Sleeping twelve adults, the three bedroom option has enough space to provide seclusion when you want it and a space to gather for some bonding time. Built like a two-story apartment, this villa emphasizes the idea of a home away from home.

When you first enter the villa, the light and airy feeling of the room immediately makes you feel at home. The gorgeous wood floors and vintage décor give an upscale feel without sacrificing comfort. A massive window spans the height of the villa, bringing in plenty of natural light as well as a beautiful view.

In the living room, the large sofa is connected to a Murphy bed in the wall, providing the first sleeping location. Smooth and convenient, handles in the wall make it easy to set the bed up and put it away. Depending on the villa, you could even sleep a third person on the extension of the sofa.

Right off the living room is the full kitchen and dining area. A massive dining room table sits ten people, ideal for the large groups for which this villa is designed. Plenty of windows brighten the dining space, with dazzling views of the resort area and Disney Springs. The balcony is also connected to this space, perfect if you want to sit outside and enjoy your morning coffee or a few peaceful moments in the evening.

The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to store food, prepare meals, and spend time together. A modern, updated feel complements the vintage nature of the rest of the villa while giving a sleek finish to the kitchen. For any of these villas with a kitchen, we highly recommend you make good use of them! You’ll be amazing how much you will save on food costs, even if only use the kitchen to reheat leftovers or make your breakfasts.

Also in the kitchen area you will find the first bathroom, perfect for those staying in the living room or just to help get everyone ready to go. This bathroom isn’t connected to any of the bedrooms, which is a major upside when thinking of privacy and access.

On the main floor, you will find the master bedroom and bathroom. This bedroom features a king bed, plenty of storage, and even some USB charging ports for your electronics. The attached bathroom as a large soaker tub and fabulous walk-in shower, with the addition of a small closet to put some of your linens (if you happen to be travelling with those items). Gorgeous wood accents make the décor in this space, almost a nod to some of the other areas around Walt Disney World.

Up the vintage-inspired staircase, you’ll find the rest of the rooms within the villa. A balcony overlooks the rest of the villa and brings light into the upstairs space. To the left, the first bedroom holds two queen beds in a similar style to the king bed downstairs. The bedroom has many of the same features as the master bedroom, including the charging ports. Connected to this bedroom is a spacious bathroom with a separate sink area. The tub and shower combination have plenty of space while providing a conventional tub that will make bath time much easier if you have smaller kiddos.

Across the landing, you’ll find the last bedroom which is the twin of the previous, containing two queen beds and connecting to a bathroom. Between these two rooms are the laundry units, making it a central location and easy for everyone in your party to access.

A villa of this size is great if you are travelling with more than one family or a larger group, as it provides a way for everyone to have their own personal space. However you want to divide your living arrangements, everyone will have a comfortable place to sleep and plenty of storage for personal items. The major advantage to the grand villa is the space, there’s no way you’ll feel on top of each other in this room!

Treehouse Villas

Right down the road from the main entrance to Disney’s Saratoga Springs, nestled into the trees, you’ll see the marquee for The Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs.

The Treehouse Villas are a unique accommodation at Walt Disney World, similar to the cabins at Fort Wilderness. With a more rustic and outdoorsy feel, these treehouses are a fun experience for those looking to try something new.

An overall feeling of woodlands and the great outdoors infuses the décor, with natural wood accents and lovely shades of green complementing the scenery outside. If you enjoy camping and that cabin feel, the treehouses might be a great option for you!

Designed with families in mind, the treehouses sleep nine people between three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bed and attached bathroom. A large window looks out over the surrounding woodland areas, bringing the outside into your cozy bedroom. The accompanying bathroom carries through the color scheme of the villa, accentuated by the stone tile and brass fixtures.

The second bedroom also has a queen bed and shares a bathroom with the third bedroom. Windows look out to the woods as well, brightening the space. In the third bedroom, you’ll find bunk beds, perfect for your adventurous kiddos!

In the living area, you’ll find another queen-sized sleeper sofa and twin sleeper chair, so if you need the space you’ll be sure to have it! A large table and eat-at bar make up the eating area, all connected to the full kitchen.

Between the living area and the bedrooms, you have plenty of closet and storage space for all your personal items. Feel free to move in for the length of your vacation!

Outside, the villa is elevated off the ground for that true treehouse feel. Additionally, a spacious deck area is a great option for an outdoor meal while still giving you and your family privacy. To really get the feel of these villas, you’ll have to see it for yourself.

The Treehouse Villas have their own pool areas with the feeling of natural springs and watering holes popping up amidst the trees. Plenty of natural shade from the woodlands makes this a relaxing area after a long park day or ideal for a day off from the parks.

Staying at the Treehouse Villas is a different experience from the typical resort, including Saratoga Springs. It is also more removed from the other Walt Disney World areas and has some limits in transportation, so you’ll want to check out a few in-depth reviews before choosing this location. However, if you really enjoy a unique vacation feel, these treehouses may be for you!

Between luxurious villas and perfectly equipped studios, you’ll find just what you’re looking for in Saratoga Springs. If you’re ready to book now, just hop online and choose the accommodations that fit you best!
