My Toolbox
The page is a list of my favorite resources for blogging, travel, money, and organization. I call it my toolbox.
I have planned and booked a lot of Disney vacations (including Disney Cruises) and the resources I am sharing are the exact tools that I use.
I believe in each of them and that’s why I am recommending them to you. I’ll keep updating this page as I discover new tools.
Check back here before your book your next Disney vacation for the latest updates.
Travel
Get Away Today
Walt Disney World / Disneyland Tickets
If you’re visiting Disney World or Disneyland, you can save money by purchasing through Get Away Today. As an authorized seller of Disney World tickets, their prices are always much lower than if you were to buy directly from Disney.
Allianz
Travel Insurance
It’s not pleasant to think about, but occasionally something goes wrong when we travel. Just like we have insurance on our home and cars, many cruisers travel insurance to protect the financial investment of a Disney Cruise. For some travelers, travel insurance is a good deal.
When I get travel insurance, I get a policy from Allianz. I’ve found them to be really great on price and service.
Rental Cars
Priceline is an important tool for me when I compare rental car prices. I outline my step-by-step rules for how to save money on a rental car here.
Uber
Ride Sharing
I’ve become a big fan of Uber’s simple app and easy rides. Especially when I’m in the city of Orlando; there are always tons of Uber drivers available for instant pickup and their fares are really affordable.
If you’re new to Uber, get your first ride free (up to $15) by using my special Picture the Magic link.
Travel Itineraries & Calendars
Keep all your travel plans, in one place.
TripIt is so simple in its design; you book your travel and when you receive email confirmations of your reservations, just forward those emails to TripIt.
TripIt then creates a master itinerary for every trip. Integrates with every type of calendar and the mobile app makes it deliciously easy to keep your travel schedule straight.
The free version is tremendously powerful and perfect for most travelers.
My Website
Bluehost
Web hosting
Are you a blogger looking to get serious? Self-hosting your website is the next step to growth! I highly recommend using Bluehost for your web hosting. Set up is easy, their customer support is fantastic, you’ll get amazing features, and the prices are incredible — starting at provide an easy setup, responsive support, premium-level features, and incredible prices—like $3.95 a month. (That’s basically just a fancy coffee. You can make your own coffee once a month, right?)
If your blog is small or medium-sized, Bluehost is the perfect fit. I know I love what they do for PicturetheMagic.com.
ConvertKit
Email
I do a lot of email marketing & newsletters to share great Disney vacation advice. ConvertKit makes it easy for me to manage each campaign. I especially love their automated workflows.
WordPress
WordPress is the backend system that runs my website. It makes managing all of my content very easy. The theme I use is called “X Theme” and I love how flexible it is. It has so many built-in features that I can make cool web pages without having to know a bunch of code.
Create pretty much any web layout from within the X WordPress Theme. You can choose from multiple, completely unique designs with just the click of a mouse, and there are currently four themes within the theme to choose from.
Domain Name
You can register your domain name in a lot of places. I just prefer to do it at a place that gives me the least expensive option 🙂
NameSilo is simple. No fluff or odd promotions. Just a simple $8.99 per year for .com domains.
