The Star Wars universe, as created by George Lucas, and then propagated by Disney after it bought the rights to the story line, is filled with fascinating characters. From the Jawas of Tatooine, to everyone's favorite bounty hunter, Boba Fett, to the slovenly salivating Jabba the Hutt, each brings so much texture to the movies and tv shows.

Yoda is a central figure in Star Wars when he appears in The Empire Strikes Back as a Jedi Master to train Luke Skywalker before Luke is ready to face his father, Darth Vader.  While he makes another appearance in Return of the Jedi, his history had commenced much earlier. The history of younger Yoda is documented in the prequel series of movies.

Beyond Luke Skywalker, Yoda has participate in training many of the known Jedis, including Count Dooku, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Mace Windu.

He also makes an important appearance in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

The Stormtrooper is iconic Star Wars figure. However, it is not widely known that there appear many different types of Stormtroopers in the film canon.

The first Stormtroopers were actually cone troopers (as we learn in The Clone Wars) and are trained for total obedience to their master.

Here is a list of some of types of specialized stormtroopers that appeared in addition to the units that were so familiar in Star Wars: A New Hope:

Luke Skywalker's faithful little buddy is at the heart of the entire Star Wars: A New Hope story arc. Princess Leia entrusts him with her holographic call for help and jettisons him into the void, eventually to end up in Skywalker's care.

And, of course, he's Luke's co-pilot as they take down the Death Star. R2D2 is arguably the most important droid in the universe.

Everyone knows Luke Skywalker. Portrayed in film by Mark Hamill, this young padawan grows in courage and strength in the Force to achieve his destiny as a galactic hero.

Those are wise words to live by. Chewbacca, or Chewie as we all know him, is a great wingman. Sarcastic, brave, and incredibly strong, he's been a faithful companion to Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian, and more.
